"God blessed them and said to them, "Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air and over every living creature that moves on the ground."
Children are a blessing to us and this is reason enough for us to care and look after our children. All children have the right to education and to a better future regardless of their background.
It breaks my heart to see children starving and suffering from various diseases.
It breaks my heart to see so many children out in the streets begging for money instead of attending school.
It breaks my heart to see so many children being sold off as servants and slaves at such a tender age.
It breaks my heart to see a fellow child take care of another child.
So young and fragile, our children have been forced to fend for themselves when we are the ones who are to look after them and care for them.
This blog is for these children. I will no longer sit and watch as our children suffer, I vow to do the best I can and I ask for your help to join me and together empower the African Child.
Just as The Late Nobel Laureate, Professor Wangari Maathai said, let us be like the little humming bird and do the best we can for our children.
Let us unite and stand together to nurture the heart of our future, our children.
